The Graduate School Awards for PhD Excellence are yearly awarded to further stimulate and reward PhD research. This year the Graduate School received a record number of 71 submissions from its seven participating faculties and institutes. Graduate School dean Liesbet van Zoonen and Programme Board chair Gijs van Oenen announced the winning poster, paper, article and thesis.
The department of Public Administration and Sociology has three positions available for the PhD course Challenges of Europe: Populism, Parochialism and Autocratic Leadership. Participants are asked to make a personal contribution of 350 euro. All other expenses will be covered by the organisation.

To further stimulate and reward PhD research, the Graduate Schools invites its PhD candidates and recent graduates to submit their work for the "Graduate School Award for PhD Excellence". The deadline for submission is December 22 (Friday) 2017.
