UPDATE 18.06.2020: Corona crisis newsfeed

Update 17.06.2020

Join our online inventory meetings of COVID-19 related challenges for PhDs and help us adapt our curriculum and support services to the COVID-19 crisis

Although the Erasmus campus is slowly coming back to life and many faculties give priority to allowing PhD candidates to go back to their offices and communities, we can still imagine that the COVID-19 crisis is producing all kinds of issues for your PhD research and progress.

As your graduate school we feel responsible for supporting you as much as possible to overcome these issues. We have some idea about the challenges (for fieldwork, for instance), but evidently have no complete overview of the scope, let alone solutions.

To start with, we want to make an inventory of research and writing challenges with our PhD community.

We are setting up a series of online Zoom meetings to discuss the challenges; based on the outcomes of these discussions we will design the necessary workshops, courses and other forms of support.

The inventory meeting dates are:

Thursday 25 June      17.00 – 18.30 hrs (online)
Monday 29 June         17.00 – 18.30 hrs (online)
Wednesday 1 July      17.00 – 18.30 hrs (online)

Please register for the date of your convenience, or if you are not able to make it, let us know your thoughts by email: contact@egsh.eur.nl

Warm regards,

The EGSH team

Update 09.04.2020
In an effort to support higher education during this period, SAGE Campus decided to offer free access to data science courses for a temporary period. Courses include introductory level training for using R, Python, data visualisation, text mining and social media data.

To streamline onboarding and access, SAGE has moved to domain-based authentication for students, staff and faculty. Users at institutions who opt in will be able to create an account with their institutional email address and access all the content available across our data science courses and modules until June 30th.
