Course: Achieving your goals and becoming more successful in your PhD
Feeling overwhelmed by a research proposal? Got all your data but don’t have a clue where to go from there? Then this four day course will give you all the essential tools to help you concretize your goals to successfully complete your PhD research project.

In the course, organizational psychologist Michiel Jongerden will walk you through identifying personal goals, time and risk management and discovering your core qualities and learning how to apply them optimally.

Workshop: Social Media for Academics
As a follow-up to the Social Media Seminar, self-proclaimed ‘rogue media scholar’ and top Twitterer Linda Duits will give a workshop on Friday 1 November on the opportunities of social media for researchers. To quote Linda Duits: “Blogging and social media are extensions of your work. They help you to improve and develop your research.“

Data, data, data and having difficulties managing it? Then don't miss out on your change to get step by step guidance in creating a data management plan for your research project.

The aim of the workshop is to give PhD students an understanding of the core building blocks of a data management plan and give advice on where to find reliable information on data management and storage at the EUR.
