In retrospect | Seminar 'Social Network Research in Public Organizational Contexts: Methodological Issues'

On February 19^th, prof. Naim Kapucu of the University of Central Florida gave a seminar about social network analysis, as part of his visit to the Department of Public Administration. Prof. Kapucu is a recognized expert in the field of disaster management where his network analyses have helped understanding which network structures are better able to cope with the occurrence disasters such hurricane Katrina. He introduced the audience to his methods and results and we discussed how social network analysis can be deployed in issues our grad students struggle with.
