first EGS3H seminar

On the afternoon of the 7th of November we will host the first seminar of the Erasmus Graduate School of Social Sciences and the Humanities (EGS3H) at the Rotterdam platform for debate, art and culture: De Unie. Our first seminar "who are we? and what do we do?" will feature a 3 Minute Pitch Hour in which fourteen enthusiastic PhD's from all seven departments will present their research to us in three minutes: short, sexy and sparkling. Afterwards we will go into smaller groups to find the common grounds which can theme our future seminars. The general idea of these seminars will be to come out of our ivory towers and have intellectually stimulating seminars open for the public. A great opportunity for young academics to have a more open and public engagement. But for now, we will have to get to know each other first: so come on the afternoon of the 7th of November to De Unie for our 3 Minute Pitch Hour, where we will have drinks afterwards to informally continue our getting-to-know-each-other!
