The NWO Domain Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) encourages excellent research in the research areas of the social sciences and the humanities. Various funding instruments are available to this end. The results from this research benefit science, as well as societal organisations, the cultural sector and industry.
In the Dean’s Masterclass we focus this time on new forms of citizen participation in the city: we address the use of social and visual media by young people, citizen labs and networks, and the initiatives of migrants and refugees. The theme connects directly with the Erasmus Research Initiative Vital Cities, Vital Citizens.
