In response to the reality that most doctoral graduates ultimately find employment outside of the academic sector the Erasmus Graduate School of Social Sciences and the Humanities in co-operation with Erasmus University's Alumni Relations Team will run a series of online PhD Alumni dialogues.
The focus of both the workshops and the alumni dialogue will be on a career path after a doctoral degree in Social Sciences and the Humanities
The series consists of three sessions that all comprise a mix of a workshop, followed by a dialogue with a panel of alumni from Social Sciences and the Humanities moderated by our dean, prof.dr. Liesbet van Zoonen.
We close the sessions with a Q&A.
Liesbet van Zoonen is professor of popular culture and dean of the Erasmus Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities (EGSH) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Liesbet is also academic director of the Centre for Big Open and Linked Data (BOLD) Cities. She has written about (new) media, citizenship and identity. Her research currently focuses on data and cities.
