Guided peer consultation for PhD candidates is a way to find solutions for issues and problems in your everyday work. Key element is that PhD candidates support each other through exchanging approaches, thereby learning to tackle their PhD challenges. Together with peers and under the supervision of a professional coach you will learn strategies to solve specific issues related to the PhD process.
How to finish your PhD in time
Number of sessions: 3
Hours per session: 6.5
This course is geared towards PhD candidates with a minimum of three months of working experience. In this course, you will learn how to plan your days, weeks and your entire PhD project. The course provides new insights into your strong points and options to improve your working method. You will make a concrete planning for your research, practise negotiating in an academic setting and prepare for networking conversations at a conference.
Project management: doing less but achieving more
Number of sessions: 2
Hours per session: 8 (session 1) and 4 (session 2)
This course is geared towards PhD candidates with a minimum of six months of working experience. This course focuses on the things you would like to achieve in your work, taking into account your personal ways of working and the difficulties you encounter while keeping a healthy work/life balance. You will learn how to plan your days, weeks and your entire PhD project.
